The Cat 6 jacks are completely backward compatible with all current category 5e and cat 5 equipment. The enhanced electrical performance our Cat 6 jacks ensure their ability in supporting applications with increased bandwidth requirements, exceeding 1 Gbps performance. Typical applications include, Gigabit ethernet, distributed video over cat 6, voice over IP (VoIP).
